A Moment of Simple Justice – Hopping Turnstiles

Sept. 9, 2014 (Mimesis Law) — According to a recent report by the NY Daily News, more than 37,000 people have done prison time for hopping turnstiles in New York City subways since 2008. The costs for prosecuting and warehousing these offenders dramatically outstrip the economic harms caused by the crime. Scott wonders if the broken windows policy makes sense at this point.
