Mar. 16, 2016 (Mimesis Law) — Morning folks, the links today:

  • The four former New Orleans cops awaiting retrial for the deadly shootings that occurred on Danziger bridge following Hurricane Katrina in 2005 have asked the judge to let them out on bond. Former Officer Robert Gisevius, Kenneth Bowen, Anthony Villavaso and Robert Faulcon’s convictions in their original 2013 were overturned because of misconduct on the part of the prosecutor.
  • The trial dates for the six Baltimore officers in connection with the in-custody death of Freddie Gray last year are set to resume. The first to be tried is Officer Edward Nero on May 10.
  • Witnesses say the unidentified male who was fatally shot by Brown Deer, MN, police on Monday was unarmed. An officer shot the man after he was ejected from a transit bus for refusing to pay the fare and then not complying with police orders.
  • Addison, TX, officials released new details in the Jose Raul Cruz shooting incident. Officer Ken Johnson pursued the two teenagers after he came upon them burglarizing his vehicle. An altercation occurred which left 16-year old Cruz dead, and his friend of the same age, Edgar Rodriguez, wounded.
