Fault Lines Links – AL Cop Charged With Murder Of Unarmed Greg Gunn

  • Montgomery, AL, Officer Aaron Smith was charged with murder in connection with the shooting of unarmed Greg Gunn last week. Smith allegedly confronted Gunn who was holding a paint roller because he looked “suspicious”.
  • Three Baltimore cops have been placed on leave after a video emerged of them slapping and kicking a student on school premises.
  • The Maryland Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court, is set to rule on Thursday whether Officer William Porter can be compelled to testify against fellow officers in their trials for the in-custody death of Freddie Gray.
  • Thousands of criminal cases in New Jersey are possibly compromised after a lab technician working for the NJ State Police was accused of falsifying results. Kamalkant Shah from the Little Falls lab facility has been suspended without pay since December. There’s no word on whether he will be charged.
