Fault Lines Links – South Carolina AG Declines Review of Zachary Hammond Case

Dec. 4, 2015 (Mimesis Law) — Morning folks, your links today:

  • South Carolina AG has decided not review the shooting of Zachary Hammond by Seneca Officer Mark Tiller earlier this year. Tiller maintains that Hammond drove his car towards him prompting him to shoot. Tiller was cleared of criminal charges in October even as video footage contradicting his version of events had surfaced.
  • Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel has announced that he supports the release the video of the shooting of Ronald Johnson and says it will be made public next week.
  • Mario Woods was shot dead by San Francisco police on Wednesday. Woods was allegedly responsible for the stabbing of a person earlier in the afternoon.
  • Humberto Lemus was shot and wounded by California police after he allegedly tried to run an officer over with his car following a high speed chase on Thursday.
