Fault Lines Links – Former Cop Patrick Feaster To Stand Trial In Fatal Shooting
Apr. 25, 2016 (Mimesis Law) — Morning everybody, here’s what you need to know:
- Former Paradise, CA, Officer Patrick Feaster will stand trial for the killing of Andrew Thomas in December. He is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting. Feaster “accidentally” shot Thomas and failed to immediately report it to the officers and medical staff on the scene of the car crash. Thomas was left paralyzed and later died from his injuries.
- Relatives of Linda Grimes have expressed outrage after a video emerged of Pasadena cops violently dragging Grimes out of her car. Grimes, who is disabled and mentally challenged, was arrested and aggressively detained for driving against traffic last Wednesday.
- Austin police shot and killed a man on Friday night who refused to obey police commands and ran at an officer with knives in his hands. Authorities are calling the incident ‘suicide by cop’.
- Rochester Officer Patrick Giancursio has been placed on administrative leave after he shot Michael Scott on Friday night. The shooting occurred after a brief car chase when Scott allegedly pulled a gun on officers.
