Fault Lines Links – Teen Threatens To Sue GA Police Chief For Police Brutality

- 17-year old Isiah Harvey is threatening to sue Lithonia, GA, Police Chief Roosevelt Smith for police brutality. The teen claims that Smith choked him and squeezed his hand so tightly during an arrest on Febuary 5th that he bled. In his report, Smith stated he was forced to restrain Harvey after he became combative; however, fellow officer Angela Hatchett disputed the report and made statement claiming his actions were unjustifiable.
- Former San Jose Officer Geoffrey Graves will face a new trial for allegedly raping a woman while on duty in 2013. A jury had previously failed to reach a verdict in his last trial.
- Detroit police agreed to pay $100,000 for shooting and killing Darryl Lindsay’s dog in January 2015.
- The prosecutor’s office in Passaic County, NJ is investigating the possible discharge of a weapon by an off-duty police officer. There were reports on Thursday that an officer-involved shooting at a 7-Eleven, however no further details have been released.
